The sample is the poem I wrote for Valley of Ice after the passing of my wife in 2012.  I originally composed it while sitting at the dock watching as she paddled about on a kayak shortly after her stage 4 diagnosis. It took me until well after she was gone to finish it.  The ending came on that same dock as I reflected on what I had learned of her inner strength and how it had made me better. I hope you enjoy it.
